If toes could smile, mine would have been grinning broadly while twirling in the glassy water of Jubilee Creek. A short drive through what the Knysna locals call the ‘Rheendal ramble’, led us to The Forest Edge nature reserve where we stumbled upon a little gem of a place, Jubilee Creek. Continue reading


The Striptease trail

Travelling along the N2 from Jeffreys Bay to one’s destination, the Tsitsikamma Lodge passes in a blink of an eye. Next time you’re feeling particularly adventurous, take a right when you see the lined logs welcoming you to the lodge, as there is a beautiful trail awaiting at the edge of the forest. Drupkelder rock pools

Earlier this year we discovered magical haven hidden in the middle of the Knysna forest. While browsing the  Internet for various hikes and trails in the Harkerville area, I stumbled across the Drupkelders trail. It was fairly nearby and after a morning of markets and good food we decided to get our hearts pumping and head to the forest for some exercise. After buying permits and receiving some tips about the difficulty of the trail, we made our way to the starting point.  Continue reading
